Contact Us ]National DART WorkshopsIntro to Congregation-Based Community Organizing (DART 5-day workshop)This five day residential workshop is held twice annually and brings together leaders from all 20 DART organizations across six states. TUSA usually sends six to nine leaders each year and covers 90% of the costs for leaders selected to attend. This workshop gives an overview of community organizing theory, skills and technique and gives delegates an opportunity to try out all of the new skills they learn during extensive role playing sessions. Tuesday-Saturday, March 15-19, 2005, in Eustis, Florida Monday-Friday (in November, 2005) in Eustis, Florida Advanced Leaders Training Institute (DART 2-3 day workshop)Advanced DART training builds on skills learned through experience in the organization and through the introductory five-day workshop. Aimed at more experienced leaders, this workshop frequently also has a specific focus, for example building three level networks or running successful support drives. This workshop is held once annually in either Ohio or Florida and brings together leaders from all 20 DART organizations across six states. TUSA usually sends four leaders each year and covers all costs for leaders selected to attend. Thursday-Friday, May 12-13, 2005, in Indiana (The focus for 2005 is support drives) Dart Clergy ConferenceHeld annually in Miami, Florida, DART’s Clergy Conference is an excellent opportunity for clergy committed to social justice to network and hear from nationally renowned speakers. The conference also gives clergy the opportunity to share sample justice sermons, bible study ideas and learn about justice issue updates. February 4-6, 2004, in North Miami Beach, Florida
